Røjleskov is one of the tiny villages in Denmark, you have to be wide awake to spot it.And that is only 10 minutes from the E20 and Middelfart.
This place is so beautifull !!!
We live right in the middle of it all !!!
Much of the nature here is unspoiled. Along the coastline there is woodland wich has been untouched for centuries, due to clay inthe underground, which is specific to this small part of Denmark. The clay causes occasional landslides. The result is a fantastic landscape with steep sloapes and prehistoric woodland. At tha same time, Røjleskov is “horse land” meaning great grassed areas. The combination of the untouched and the grassed land, is a unique measure of habitats for rare flowers, insects and birds.
Bring your bicycle or polish the hikingboots; dont miss this excellent oppotunity of an exciting experience of nature.
As you pass onto “Stutterivej” you just have to stop and take a deep breath; this view is outstanding!!!
You are right at the top, looking over the fields, hedgerows, forests, old farms and the sea around Funen.
The “Kasmoseforrest” is interesting. Here the treas are allowed to lie in peace when they drop in a storm. Steep sloapes, little gentle streams, and an amazing view across the sea to Jutland provides a great venue for a day out.
On the beach you just might meet fishermen in their waders standing in water ‘”bottom deep” with great ambitions of freshly fished supper.
